Choose 4G if there's no internet where the camera is going — fields, outbuildings, gates, yards away from the house. It runs on its own SIM and works anywhere there's mobile signal.

Choose WiFi if your broadband reaches the spot reliably — usually on or next to the house. No SIM, no monthly data.

Both versions are the same camera: full 360° pan and tilt, human auto-tracking, two-way audio, night vision. If you're unsure, pick 4G — it works everywhere, and it keeps working if your broadband goes down.

Almost certainly. Our SIMs are made for rural use and aren't tied to a single network — they connect to whichever UK network is strongest at your location, with around 99% coverage. In practice signal is very rarely an issue, even where phones struggle.

Plans start at £8.50 a month, and most customers are fine on the entry or mid plan. Data is only used when you're viewing footage in the app — the camera records 24/7 to its own card without using any.

We set the SIM up here before the camera ships, so it arrives working. You can pause the plan when you don't need it, pay annually for a discount, and there's a better rate if you're running several cameras.

Yes — it's designed for it. Power it up, scan the QR code in the CamHi Pro app, and you're live. Most people are set up in minutes; mounting it takes longer than connecting it.

Mount it 2.5 to 3 metres up — high enough to be out of reach, low enough to capture faces clearly. A user guide is included, and if you'd rather be walked through it, ring us while you're up the ladder.

Everything records continuously to a memory card inside the camera — nothing depends on the cloud, and there's no cloud fee. As a rough guide:

• 64GB — around 5 days
• 128GB — around 10 days
• 256GB — around 20 days

When the card fills, it records over the oldest footage automatically, so you always have the most recent period. Choose your card size at checkout, or fit your own.

It tracks them. The Defender 360 turns to follow a person or vehicle across the whole area rather than catching them in one fixed frame — so you see who it is, what they did and where they went. You get an alert on your phone, you can watch live, and you can speak through the camera — handy for telling a delivery driver where to leave something, or telling someone who shouldn't be there that they're on camera.

Yes — share it with as many people as you like. Works on iPhone and Android, so family or staff can all view it on their own phones.

30 days to send it back for a refund or exchange, no arguments. And an 18-month warranty on the camera itself — if anything goes wrong, we'll usually have you working again the same day, and if it needs to come back to us we cover the postage.
