Black Friday · our first one

We don’t usually do Black Friday.

Buy a Defender 360. Add a Solar 360 for £50.

Fuel’s up. Energy’s up. Labour’s up. We hear it every day from farms, rural homes and businesses, so this year, for the first time, we’re joining in.

Why now

Dark nights. And you can’t be everywhere.

The clocks have gone back, so yards, driveways, workshops and the gate at the end of the track are dark for longer. That’s when tools, vehicles and fuel go missing, and rubbish gets dumped in gateways. Whether it’s a farm, a rural home or a business, this year that’s the last thing anyone can afford.

No camera stops every theft. What it does is spot it, alert you as it happens, and give you footage for the police and your insurer.

The pair

One for the yard. One for the gate.

Farm, rural home or business: one watches the buildings, the other watches the spot with no power. Together, they cover the places a single camera can’t.

Defender 360 watching a farmyardDefender 360 · for the yard

Sees the whole yard, from one corner.

  • Turns a full 360°, with no blind spot
  • 36x optical zoom, to read what it finds
  • 120 metres of night vision in total darkness
  • Follows people, and vehicles on the Elite

Ideal for farmyards, driveways, workshops and car parks. Mains powered, and runs on your WiFi or PoE near the buildings, or on 4G.

Solar 360 on a field gateSolar 360 · for the gate

Watches the spots you can’t wire.

  • Runs on daylight: no mains and no WiFi
  • Spots a person at 40–50 metres, then follows them
  • Alerts your phone wherever you are
  • Straps to a post, and most people are live in about ten minutes

Ideal for gates, field entrances, remote compounds and caravans. Built-in solar panel and its own 4G SIM, so all it needs is daylight and a mobile signal.

Live, real speed. Not slowed down.

The main thing that sets it apart

True 360°. No blind spot.

Filmed in our stock room on a standard bracket. That’s the actual speed.

Most “pan-tilt” cameras stop at 355°. There’s a slice of your yard they can never look at, and it’s always the slice you needed. The Defender 360 turns the whole way round, and keeps going.

  • Upgraded high-speed motor. Snaps round to follow someone crossing the yard instead of losing them at the edge of the frame.
  • One camera, the whole shed. Covers a full lambing or calving shed from a single spot. No second camera for the corner.
  • Follows on its own. Auto-tracks people, and vehicles on the Elite, so it’s already turned by the time you open the app.
  • 36x optical zoom on top. Turn to it, zoom into it, read it. Face, plate, ear tag.

Graham, founder of RuralGuard

From the founder

Why we’re doing it this year.

We don’t usually do Black Friday. We’d rather keep our prices fair all year round. But I speak to farmers, rural homeowners and business owners every day, and this year’s been a hard one, with fuel, energy and labour all up.

So we’re doing the one thing we’d want ourselves. Buy a Defender for the yard, and we’ll add a Solar 360 for the gate for £50.

You’re not buying from a warehouse. RuralGuard is run by two brothers in Scotland. Before you buy, after you buy, or six months down the line, the same people answer.

“Had two Solar 360s up now for around three weeks. They’re a great piece of kit and do what they’re supposed to do. Had a few minor glitches, but the support team is second to none. Nothing is a bother to them, and you get to speak to real people, not a chatbot. Would highly recommend these guys and the company.”

“I purchased a Solar 360 security camera because [my old WiFi camera] continually dropped out due to poor Wi-Fi. I have had the camera for five days now and have found it to be brilliant. It stays continually connected thanks to the SIM data card. The service I’ve received from Graham has been first class. It’s not normal these days for a company to look after you personally. I can fully recommend both the security cameras and the company.”

Questions

Before you buy

Anything we’ve missed, ring or WhatsApp us on 07494 304682.

How does the offer work?

Choose any Defender 360, 4G or WiFi, and add a Solar 360 to your basket. The Solar 360 drops to £50 automatically, or £60 or £70 if you add a memory card. You’ll see the saving in your basket before you pay.

Can I have a WiFi Defender and a 4G Solar?

Yes, and it’s the most popular way to do it. More than half our Defenders run on WiFi. The Defender runs on your broadband near the buildings, and the Solar runs on its own SIM out at the gate or field. Only the Solar needs a data plan.

Is this just for farms?

No. It’s for any rural property or business: farms and smallholdings, rural homes, equestrian yards, workshops, and remote sites and compounds.

When does it end?

On the date shown at the top of this page, or sooner if the £50 Solars sell out. When they’re gone, the offer comes down.

Does any Defender 360 count?

Yes. 4G or WiFi/PoE, the standard 5MP or the Elite, with or without a memory card.

Do I need two data plans?

Only if both cameras are 4G. Each 4G camera needs its own plan, from £8.50 a month with no contract. A WiFi/PoE Defender runs on your broadband, so then only the Solar needs a plan.

How quickly will it arrive?

Order by 2:30pm on a weekday and it ships the same day on Royal Mail Tracked 24, usually arriving the next working day.

Will the Solar 360 work through the winter?

Solar cameras live on daylight, and a Scottish December hasn’t got much of it. In the darkest weeks, expect any solar setup to run low, ours included. When it does, you can top it up with a USB-C cable.

How do I know I’ll get a signal?

For your 4G cameras, we check it for you. Once you’ve ordered, we check 4G coverage at your postcode before anything leaves us. If it won’t work at your spot, we’ll tell you straight and refund you in full before it ships. For a WiFi Defender, make sure your WiFi reaches the spot, or use PoE with one cable for power and data.

Can I return one of them?

Yes. You’ve got 30 days to change your mind, as always. Just message us first and we’ll talk you through it.

Ready when you are.
