Securing a Rural Estate in England – A Bespoke RuralGuard Installation

While RuralGuard’s core focus is self-install 4G security cameras designed for farms and rural homes, we occasionally take on larger projects that require a fully managed, custom installation — especially when the site demands advanced coverage across multiple buildings or a wide estate.

This project in rural England is a great example of what's possible when high-spec equipment, trusted installers, and rural challenges all come together.

Project Overview

The client needed full coverage for a multi-building rural estate, including long-distance cable runs, perimeter protection, and future-ready infrastructure. While most of our customers install our 4G RuralGuard cameras themselves, this site called for a more bespoke setup.

We installed a total of 9 AI-powered IP cameras, provided a complete cable and network solution, and will return to fit a smart alarm and video doorbell as the next construction phase completes.

System Details

Installed equipment included:

  • 9x Dahua AI IP Cameras, featuring:

8MP 180° panoramic cameras for ultra-wide 4K coverage

6MP TiOC Pro cameras with siren, strobe lights, and two-way audio

  • Intrusion detection zones with instant push notifications
  • CAT6 cable runs from one side of the estate to the other, protected in Copex conduit
  • High-spec switch and network beams to bridge internet from the main home to the second building

We worked closely with local builders to trench the cabling neatly and ensure clean access to all key locations.
